Happy Fall!

Hi Everyone, time has been flying by! I can't believe that the Summer is over, Drew is in 1st grade and Will has started his 2nd year! We had a fun summer full of - the beach, the water park @ our house for Drew and his friends, cookouts, fairs, & lots of outside fun! We also took a little trip to Portsmouth, NH and stayed on the ocean and took the kids to York's Wild Kingdom. We had some special visits, Drew & Will's Nanny Peek & Koda came to visit from New Mexico and also Auntie Nicole came for a visit from LA!

Drew & Will's latest:
Drew: Drew is a sweet boy. He is getting taller and really turning into a little boy. He has really lost his little baby look and is now such a smart little first grader! He even has Math Homework and reading every week! He is still doing very well in school and seems "eager to please" his teachers. I guess that is a good thing! Drew is still doing karate and now has 3 stripes on his white belt, he is very focused on it and still has the goal of getting a black belt (his teacher told me that if he keeps it up then he probably will get a black belt when he is a teenager!). Drew has started going to Sunday School more regularly and is participating in the Soccer Clinic program through his school. He is a busy little boy! His favorite things right now are: Pokemon cards, drawing & art, reading, playing outside with friends and karate! Drew also is getting very interested in money and how to get more of it - he has started selling some of his double pokemon cards on ebay and is making some money! Future entrepreneur???

Will: Will is just so fun and lovable! He is a little rascal at times and gets into everything that he shouldn't! At Will's one year check up he was 29 1/2 inches (5oth %), 19 lbs, 10 oz (10th %) and his head circ was in the 30th %. The doctor said he is doing excellent! Will is walking everywhere now, sometimes even running to try to keep up with Drew. He babbles a lot and says "Ma" and "Da" when he wants us. He loves balls, outside, bathtime, Drew, Mommy & Daddy. He loves music & books. Will & I joined a music together class with other babies and moms or dads. We listen to music, sing, play instruments and dance - it is actually really fun and Will loves it! Will also has started to have a great interest in books! I have always read to Will but until just recently did he really start expressing his love for books. He loves to pull them off his bookcase and put them back in, he loves to just sit there by himself and look through his books and he loves to be read to! Yes, Will is pretty much sleeping through the night, he sometimes still wakes up randomly and lets out a scream, but goes right back to sleep in his crib. He is also starting to nap better - it was just such a long year with little sleep, but we made it!!!! :)

Our Sweet Baby Will is 1!!!

September 9th 2008 our little baby Will turned 1! Wow, where did the past year go? I have been so fortunate to stay home with Will during his 1st year. It was probably the most demanding, challenging job that I may have had - but one of the most fun for sure! Will & Mommy are very close since he really did not leave my side for more than just a few hours at a time during the first year! But, of course he does LOVE his big brother and daddy and now cries at the door when they leave!!!

We had a big family birthday party for Will complete with lots of balloons, a Patriots football cake, gifts and food! Will's Nanny Peek and Koda also flew in from New Mexico for the big day!!! Happy Birthday Will!!!

Drew & Will's Newest...

Happy Summer! We are so glad the weather has been so beautiful and warm here in Maine. We have had lots of sunny, busy days and have been meaning to write and post some pics. But, the summer has just been flying by!

Drew: Drew finished Kindergarten @ the end of June and is getting ready for 1st grade!!! He had a super Kindergarten year and accomplished a lot! He made some new friends, learned to read, write and also picked up some great math skills. He has 3 loose teeth now! He also started taking an interest in sports over the past year. He did a little soccer, basketball, tee-ball, and snowboarding. This summer he started Karate lessons and Gary just bought him his first set of golf clubs! Maybe Drew will be a little athlete? Hard to tell because he has so many interests. He loves to do crafts and is very particular with his work. He also has been having fun with his friends trading Pokemon cards:) Drew has been to a couple of camps this summer. A week long Cooking, Sports and Crafts Camp @ his elementary school, A nature day camp down the road from us for a week and next week he is going to Vacation Bible School. Drew has been quite busy and is always asking what can we do next?? :)

Will: Will has changed so much over the past month! At his 10 month check up he weighed over 18 lbs (25th%) and was over 30 inches long (75th%), his head also measured in the 75th%. Will is growing lots! He now has 5 little teeth (we just saw the 5th one today!), has taken many steps - actually today he took 6 steps! He is well on his way to walking! He is also a little rascal - into everything and always always trying to keep up with Drew! He just loves Drew and will pick Drew's bedroom to play in over any room in the house! Will loves to be outside and just play around in the grass or swing. He is babbling a lot, but still has not really said a first word for sure. He eats a variety of foods and usually just eats what we eat - much smaller portions of course!!! Oh and big news!!! Little Baby Will is pretty much sleeping thru the night - yahoo!!!!! It took a lot of work and many tears, but he is finally sleeping for @ least 7 - 10 hours straight now!!! Now hopefully we can all get some much needed sleep around here:)

Drew is 6!

Drew celebrated his 6th Birthday on July 9th!!!
I can not believe our "baby" is 6 now and heading to 1st grade this Fall! As we told Drew, he partied for 3 days for his birthday celebration! It started on Sunday with a party for him and his little friends. He had a Pokemon theme party with a water slide, pinata and a beautiful Maine Summer day! Then his Nannie Peek and Koda sent him a gift certificate to Target so of course he went out and searched for Pokemon cards. He went to Summer camp that week and played with his friends and then had friends over to play with on the water slide. And finally his actual birthday came and we had a big family pizza party for him! We told him that he is one lucky little boy! Happy Birthday Little Buddy!!!!! We Love You Drew!!!
